The Celsius is a great platform and a lot of fun to work with. Because I signed on late I only had 2 weeks to finish the piece. With that deadline I didn't want to risk trying to do a stitched piece, so I thought I would go back to painting. It was a lot of fun and it seemed to surprise people which I love :) 

There are so many amazing artists participating and I feel super lucky to be involved. The show will be on July 10th so if you're in the LA area come on out and support some great artists!

I thought making it look like a Koopa from Mario brothers would be fun (specifically the blue shells from mario kart) and of course I wanted to do it in stitched leather :)

Its hard to tell in the pictures but the thread on the body is opalescent and in the mane its iridescent. Its now up for sale on my etsy shop

I want my blog and website to stay current but to be honest I'm not much of a writer and it can be a challenge for me. I should be able to just update my blogspot blog and have it post on this website but so far it hasn't worked, which means I have to post twice (which is just dumb) 

First up, I finished these custom Mei Mei and Di Di in February. These figures were sent to me way before the wedding and I was glad to finally finish them! At first I was a little intimidated by the shape, especially the big hair buns on Mei Mei, but then I got the idea to use animals of the zodiac and transformer her buns into horns. After that it all fell into place
